Therapeutic massage is specifically designed for the client’s need. I incorporate multiple modalities (including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Orthopedic, and Myofascial Release) to meet your massage goal.
Initial Swedish strokes will decrease muscle tension, increase oxygen levels in the blood and improve flexibility in the body. Melting in on your tension areas will relieve stress, break down scar tissue, increase joint mobility, and reduce chronic pain. Lymphatic and Ayurvedic
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, soothing technique that increases lymphatic flow in your body. The lymphatic system helps remove fluid from your tissues, absorbs and transports nutrients from your digestive system, and moves white blood cells to and from your lymph nodes to support your immunity. MLD is useful in reducing inflammation in the body and effective for people with sinusitis, headaches, migraines, sprains, strains, fibromyalgia, as well as pre- and post-surgery. This type of massage may be contraindicated if you have fever, congestive heart failure, cellulitis, deep vein thrombosis, kidney disease, or malignant disease. Lymphatic and Ayurvedic
Oncology Massage is a light, soothing massage with slow and steady movements and has shown to improve pain and mood. * "Benefits include improved relaxation, sleep, and immune function as well as relieving anxiety, pain, fatigue and nausea." The massage can be modified in many ways to fit the client's goals and needs with doctor's approval.
